DISTRICT DISABILITY REHABILITATION CENTER, Singrauli

District Disability Rehabilitation Center, Singrauli has been established at district headquarter Waidhan. DDRC has it’s own 2 Story building built with the support of district Administration and Grant from NTPC under CSR activities. DDRC Singrauli is under the administrative control of Indian Red Cross Society, Singrauli. DDRC building and departments are barrier free and fully accessible for persons with disabilities including wheelchair users and Tricycle user. Ramp of DDRC is enough wide and ideally angled so that wheelchair users can reach comfortably on the 1st floor. Doors are enough wide open in all the rooms. Indian/ western Toilets and bathrooms are available both the floor and accessible for Persons with disabilities.

We have also registered under Article 50, so authorized to work for PWDs rehabilitation program. District Disability Rehabilitation Center (DDRC), Singrauli is located in heart of the Waidhan city and about 100 meters away from National highway 7. Road transport is available round the clock to reach DDRC. Bus stand is merely 800 meters from DDRC. Indian Red Cross Society, Singrauli is the implementing agency of DDRC project. DDRC is having sound proof Audiometry room, Well equipped Physiotherapy department. We have well equipped Prosthetic and Orthotic workshop. DDRC has separate room for client registration, Separate record keeping room along with store unit. We have planned Special education unit for MR/HH children in coming months. We have room for ADL training, parent counseling room. DDRC have 4 computers used for different purposes like registration, record keeping, letter typing, Monitoring and evaluation. All of the equipment available at DDRC has been provided by Indian Red Cross Society.
